Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common behavioral disorders in childhood. This condition, caused by dysfunctions in brain functions related to attention, focus, and behavior control, can negatively affect the quality of life of individuals.

NeuroCes™ is a CE-certified and ISO 13485-compliant approved medical device used in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and insomnia. By regulating current distribution in brain structures and neurotransmitter release, this device offers a promising option for ADHD treatment.

CES and ADHD: Scientific Foundations

In a 2011 qEEG study conducted by Liu Yanmin and Zhang Guiqing at the Children's Rehabilitation Psychology Clinic of the First Hospital of Shihezi University Medical School in China, 90 children with ADHD were selected according to DSM-IV criteria and received CES treatment for 14 days, 20-30 minutes each day. The device used in the study delivered microcurrent through electrodes attached to the earlobes, and qEEG measurements were taken before and after the CES treatment. The study analyzed power values in theta, alpha, and beta bands, along with the theta/beta ratio. Post-CES results showed a significant decrease in theta band activity, significant increases in alpha and beta bands, and a notable decrease in the theta/beta ratio, demonstrating CES's potential to improve brain functions and alleviate ADHD symptoms.

qEEG Study Results

  • 46.52% decrease in theta band – Reduction in slow-wave activity associated with hyperactivity and inattention.

  • 64.58% increase in alpha band – Increase in relaxation, calmness, and attention capacity.

  • 89.87% increase in beta band – Improvement in attention and cognitive functions supported by faster wave activity.

  • 36.48% decrease in theta/beta ratio – Balancing the high theta/beta ratio commonly seen in ADHD patients.
